Domenico Tagliente appears frequently at major national and international organ festivals and conventions; has played many recitals throughout Italy, Germany, Austria, France, Switzerland, Sweden, Monaco, Spain. Concert appearances have included Bachfest Leipzig , Salzburg Organ Festival, Festival d’Avignon, Vienna Organ Concerts, Santa Maria del Fiore Florence, Musikfestspiele Saarbrücken, Vilnius Festival…

He is well-known for his organ- improvisations on many silent film, like “The Phantom of the opera” of Rupert Julian, or “Christus” of Giulio Antamoro, he also improvises with organ and live electronics in many festival for Contemporary Music.

He studied Organ and Composition in Vienna and Rome. He received the Master’s degree and Artist Diploma from the Vienna “University of Music” Austria (H. Haselböck, A. Mitterhofer). He also earned his Master of Musicology in DAMS, Italy.

He is Professor of Organ and Composition at “Nino Rota” Conservatory (Italy) and visiting Professor at Vienna University of Music (2007 and 2008). In addition he gives numerous Master classes (University of Weimar, London, Poznan) and conferences on Italian Music (G. Frescobaldi, baroque Italian organ repertoire in Naples… ).
